A decisive plenum of the BSP. The party's leadership, together with the coalition partners from the United Left, are discussing the results of the negotiations with GERB to form a joint government. Boyko Borisov's party is talking to the BSP and “There is such a people” about forming a regular cabinet.
The final decision of the BSP whether to participate in a regular cabinet with GERB and ITN is expected to become clear today. Georgi Gyokov said that there is an agreement in principle for a government. According to unofficial information, the BSP has agreed on 4 ministries – of labor and social policy, of regional development and public works, of youth and sports and of ecology.
The plenum is expected to discuss the motives for entering such a government and what has been agreed so far.
Information has emerged regarding the possible participation of the BSP in a cabinet with GERB. This morning, “Bulgarian Spring” announced that if the BSP participates in such a government, they will leave the coalition. Maya Manolova also announced that she will consider such actions.
Atanas Atanasov from the BSP stated that “regular government is now extremely necessary, but at the same time, configurations are not easy”. According to him, there is no tension regarding participation in the cabinet negotiations.
