President Rumen Radev will hand over the first mandate to form a government to the largest parliamentary group in the 51st National Assembly - that of GERB-SDF at 12 noon.
This is happening one month after the head of state's consultations with the political parties. Until late last night, it was not clear whether the government of GERB-SDF, BSP-United Left and ITN would receive the support of "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms", and without it, there is no necessary support in parliament. This was agreed yesterday at a final meeting in the National Assembly between the negotiating teams of the three parties with the leadership of the parliamentary group DPS-DPS.
In a statement distributed to the media, Dogan's formation stated their support and with the signing of the "Appendix" as part of the Agreement for a parliamentary majority for the implementation of a governing program between GERB-SDF, BSP-United Left and ITN.
Thus, the future cabinet would have the support of 126 members of parliament, which is enough for a parliamentary majority.
