Delyan Dobrev: Lena Borislavova has a personal interest in weakening the prosecutor's office - 1

GERB MP Delyan Dobrev published a sharp post on social networks in which he accused Lena Borislavova, a member of parliament from the “We continue the change“ party, of not declaring a private interest when she spoke from the parliamentary rostrum regarding the election of the Prosecutor General.

Dobrev points out that according to the provisions of Art. 145 of the Rules of Procedure for the Organization and Activities of the National Assembly, as well as Art. 71 and Art. 72 of the Anti-Corruption Act, every member of parliament is obliged to declare a private interest when discussing or voting on an issue that may benefit him.

According to Dobrev, Borislavova has a personal interest in weakening the prosecutor's office, because this would prevent potential prosecution for “false signatures, dissemination of secret documents, and others“.

In her post, Dobrev criticized the morality of Borislavova and her party colleagues, stating: “I bet that as much as Lena Borislavova gives herself immunity, she will declare a private interest. And that is exactly as much as their morality is.“

The statement caused a violent reaction on social networks, with users divided into two - some supporting Dobrev's claims, while others defending Borislavova.
