By order of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, the government plane was sent to pick up the two Bulgarian sailors, members of the crew of the ship "Galaxy Leader", who were released.
This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
The Bulgarian government plane took off shortly after 2:20 p.m. from Sofia Airport for Muscat. The two Bulgarian sailors, released from the captured ship "Galaxy Leader", will arrive in the capital of Oman.
Earlier it became clear that the Yemeni Houthis have released the crew of the "Galaxy Leader" after more than a year in captivity. Among the hostages were Bulgarians - Captain Lyubomir Chanev and his senior assistant Danail Veselinov.

MEP Elena Yoncheva announced on her Facebook profile that a Bulgarian delegation led by Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev is expected to arrive in Muscat, Oman, this evening. Yoncheva, who is also in Oman, wrote that in the coming hours, Lyubomir Chanev and Danail Veselinov - the captain and assistant captain of the ship "Galaxy Leader" will arrive there on a special flight of Oman Airlines.
