Border police officers have handed out 2,384 electronic tickets for over 320,000 leva since the beginning of April VIDEO - 1

Since the beginning of April, officers of the General Directorate of Border Police (GDBP) have handed out 2,384 electronic tickets worth over 320,000 leva, the Ministry of Interior announced. A total of 1,897 electronic tickets have been paid on the spot, worth a total of nearly 131,000 leva. The comparison shows that the amounts paid in the first half of April are almost double those in the second half of March, the announcement also states.

When carrying out border control and compensatory measures, officers of the "Border Police" also carry out activities regarding compliance with road traffic rules. They check the automated information system of the Ministry of Interior for undelivered electronic tickets and for fines imposed that have not been paid within the deadline for voluntary payment, the Ministry of Interior indicates.

If it is established that a citizen has undelivered electronic tickets, they are served. An opportunity has been created for the fine to be paid on the spot via a POS terminal device, if desired. Activities related to the control of compliance with traffic rules in no way restrict the free movement of citizens, the ministry adds.

With these activities, the General Directorate of Traffic Police is actively involved in the fight against road injuries, by supporting the employees of the “Traffic Police“, as well as helping to increase revenue for the tax authorities, the Ministry of Interior recalls. Photo
