Ivaylo Mirchev: We have not discussed in the parliamentary group a vote of no confidence - 1

At the moment, Delyan Peevski has a very strong influence and to some extent manages all Bulgarian institutions except the presidency and military intelligence. We came to this conclusion in “Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria” (PP-DB), carefully analyzing certain processes. Peevski's influence in the government, the Constitutional Court and the regulators is enormous. For this reason, we are convinced that this coalition cannot happen without Peevski's blessing. This opinion was expressed by the MP from the PP-DB Ivaylo Mirchev on the air of Darik Radio.

He pointed out that when someone does not listen to Peevski, the prosecutor's office, the police are sent to him, and checks are started against him.

“Ultimately, you start listening to him”, said Mirchev.
Regarding the topic of the possible submission of a vote of no confidence against the “Zhelyazkov” cabinet, which Mirchev spoke about over the weekend, he explained that they have no intention of taking such action for now.

“We have not discussed submitting a vote of no confidence in the parliamentary group. One of our colleagues had a similar opinion, but it was by no means our official position. If we are going to submit a vote of no confidence, we will first communicate it to the public. Yes, this is a tool of the opposition, but when it is applied and in what way, we decide depending on the actions of the government”, said the politician.

Mirchev also added that there should be spending cuts in the new budget.

“I heard from Delyan Dobrev that Boyko Borisov told them: “You will not cut spending and you will not raise taxes”, which in general will be a new science. There cannot be a budget with a 3% deficit if spending is not optimized”, the PP-DB MP further explained.
