The District Court in Haskovo has initiated warrant proceedings to seek the amounts of unpaid bills from five former MPs from the 29th Multi-Mandate Constituency, reported BTA correspondent in the city Nikolay Grudev. The debts concern outstanding obligations for rent, electricity, water and consumables for the departmental housing they used in Sofia.
The court has already issued a decision in two of the cases. One of the proceedings has been terminated, and two other cases have not yet been concluded. The Speaker of the Parliament, Natalia Kiselova, reported the problem. The court did not announce the specific names of the debtors and the amounts they must pay, but specified that they were members of the National Assembly from parliaments before the 50th.
