By a decision of the Council of Ministers on Friday, Desislava Atanasova has been selected by the government to represent Bulgaria in the Venice Commission. Borislav Belazelkov has been appointed as her deputy, BNT reports.
Both of them took the oath as constitutional judges from the parliamentary quota.
The Venice Commission rules on the compliance of draft laws with constitutional norms, electoral procedures, as well as minority rights.
