The Ministry of Interior is controlled by “DPS - New Beginning“. Daniel Mitov was named as one of the three informal lobbyists who were tasked with smoothing relations between the Democrats and Delyan Peevski and possibly lifting his sanction under the “Magnitsky” law - something that did not happen. This is how the investigative journalist from bird.bg Dimitar Stoyanov commented on the situation in the interior ministry on Darik radio.
A day earlier, police officers from the Burgas Regional Department of Internal Affairs complained about pressure through an arrest warrant for a person in whose car they “found“ illegal weapons and narcotics. Today in parliament, Daniel Mitov explained that he had ordered an inspection of the data released in the media by the Burgas police officer.
Stoyanov explained to Darik that GERB is also controlled by Peevski and “this is not news”.
He emphasized that he has information that the current director of the Burgas Regional Directorate of Internal Affairs Vladimir Marinov attended the birthday party of Nikolay Filipov-Quail, who is being investigated for smuggling, at a time when the late Martin Bojanov-Notary, who is accused of being a lobbyist in the judicial system, was also present. He also cited an investigation by the “elves” that Filipov bought electoral votes for the MRF-NN and that Vladimir Stoyanov is said to be the mentor of the former Minister of the Interior, and now an MP from the ranks of the MRF-NN - Kalin Stoyanov.
The journalist also explained, however, that there are pending cases with Nikolay Filipov and Kalin Stoyanov, in which he is a party due to his own investigations. Dimitar Stoyanov also said that Nikolay Filipov is said to be the heir to the murdered Notary, there were also allegations that he “settles cases” and “the corporate vote for the MRF-NN” and that he is a “personnel officer of the Ministry of Interior-Burgas”.
“This closeness and this connection are disturbing”, said Dimitar Stoyanov and defined what is happening in the Ministry of Interior as “a unique decline”.
He also analyzed who is behind some of the ostentatious shootings in our country: “For me, the last two significant murders in Bulgaria – of Alexei Petrov and that of the Notary were committed by people who are well prepared. Personally, my hypothesis is that these are active employees of the Ministry of Interior, but it is also possible that they are people with military experience from Ukraine – both Russians and Ukrainians, and any other people who have been in such combat operations and have accumulated sufficient military experience to be able to commit such crimes”.
