We have not yet seen either a management program or a budget, we only see changes in regulators. We criticize the process of changing regulators because this is the only action that this government is taking, and in violation of a number of rules. Our request is for transparency, clear deadlines and sufficiently clear criteria for nominations. This was said in the program "Panorama" on BNT by the deputy chairwoman of the PG of "Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" Lena Borislavova.
She also commented on the attempt to create an inquiry commission in the National Assembly to investigate the businesses of the leader of "DPS – New Beginning" Delyan Peevski and his mother Irena Krasteva.
Even if all the votes of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" are in order in the National Assembly, there are some catharses that are experienced by "There are such people", GERB and BSP not having a committee. This is a narrative that we saw back in the "Denkov-Gabriel" cabinet. The reason the rotation failed and the reason GERB terminated the negotiations for a government was that they did not have the will to not have a quota for Peevski in the appointments. We were in the so-called assembly and we saw that the process of useful action is exhausted by the time the regulators have to be filled, Borislavova said.
Mr. Peevski is trying to influence the decisions of almost all parliamentary groups – There is an option in which you disagree, as we do, and there is also an option in which he gives instructions and his colleagues from GERB line up and vote. GERB is firmly defending his interest and not allowing a word to be said about his influence in the judicial system and in regulators. There is no majority that wants to repel these illegal influences, said the deputy chairman of the PG of "Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria".
Asked whether she will defend the budget of the co-chairman of "Continuing the Change" and former Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev to the end, Lena Borislavova commented: I will defend to the end the policies that I believe are important for improving the quality of life in Bulgaria. The fact is that in recent years there has been positive demographic growth in Bulgaria and more people who have returned from abroad than those who have left. The data shows that there is a surplus of half a billion in the budget, so the cherished hole never appeared.
