The newly elected Metropolitan Pachomius of Vidin was welcomed and installed in his diocesan see in Vidin. Upon his arrival, he was accompanied by his predecessor Patriarch Daniil, who headed the Vidin diocese for seven years, BNR specifies.
Metropolitan Pachomius addressed the people who were waiting for him with the words:
"I am obliged to work for the unity of our diocesan church, for peace and goodwill among people. I will do my best so that in my metropolitan the young find understanding and encouragement, the elderly - comfort and support, the weak - help, the lonely - protection, the hesitant - direction".
After the installation of the newly elected Vidin Metropolitan in the cathedral, Orthodox Christians waited patiently for their turn to receive a blessing.
"I have a duty to greet him, to ask for grace, which is needed by each of us in these times in which we live. I believe that he will be a worthy spiritual shepherd for us and will worthily continue the work of His Holiness Patriarch Daniil. I greatly rely on the strengthening of religious education in our city, to expand for the good of the children of Vidin."
