The US has eliminated a senior representative of the Syrian branch of "Al Qaeda" – "Huras ad Din", world agencies reported, quoted by BTA.
The US Central Command in the Middle East explained in „Ex“ that it targeted and killed on Saturday in the northwestern part of Syria a senior representative responsible for the finances and logistics of the terrorist organization "Huras ad Din“. The identity of the killed person has not been reported.
The US regularly carries out strikes on targets in Syria. American military personnel are deployed in this country as part of an international coalition established in 2014. in order to fight the jihadists of the “Islamic State“.
At the end of January, the US military announced that it had killed Mohammad Salah al-Zabir, a high-ranking representative of “Khuras ad-Din“.
“Khuras ad-Din“ announced afterwards that it would disband itself, explaining that it was making this decision because the regime of Bashar al-Assad had fallen. The group is on the US list of terrorist organizations.
The new authorities of Syria have already stated that they want all groups to disband.
“Khuras ad-Din“, which includes foreign military personnel, is based in the mountainous areas of northwestern Syria.
