Former Prime Minister Kiril Petkov gave GERB advice on what to spend Bulgarians' money on - 1

“If the trick works!" - this is how today's day for GERB can be summarized.

Thanks to the quick reaction of Assen (Vassilev - ed.) and the entire coalition, the normal increase in pensions was restored in just a few hours. Pensioners are protected. This was written on "Facebook" by former Prime Minister and co-chairman of "We Continue the Change" Kiril Petkov.

The following key issues before the government are:

• Which is more important to them - support for young families with additional tax breaks and increased maternity funds OR a 50% increase in salaries in the Ministry of Interior?

• Which is more important to them - maintaining the high VAT threshold for small businesses to reduce their administrative costs OR a 70% increase in salaries in the wiretapping service - DATO?

• Which is more important to them - raising the salaries of the State Security Service by 60% OR maintaining the maximum social security threshold?

• Which is more important to them - that the money goes to people on a minimum wage OR to the mayors of GERB and Novo nacholo?

• Which is more important to them - Entering the Eurozone with realistic VAT revenues OR with attempts to “pass the trick” to provide huge funds for construction companies close to GERB with road maintenance contracts.

As the opposition, our position is clear that Bulgarians' money is not for clubs and party coffers!

Bulgarians' money should go for:

- Policy of growing incomes

- Support for young families

- Development of small and medium-sized businesses

National priority for this year: Submission of a convergence report and preparation for entering the Eurozone in January 2026 - for this we need a budget that Europe will assess as real.
