All those with pensions up to the poverty line of 638 leva to receive supplements of 100 leva for April. This is provided for by a proposal submitted by deputies from "Vazrajdane" proposal for changes to the state social security budget for 2025 voted on at first reading, reports the Bulgarian National Radio.
The submitters point out that 60 million leva will be needed for the Easter supplements, and propose that they be at the expense of the social security budget.
The deadline for proposals before the second reading expires today.
"Vazrazhdane" also proposes increasing the minimum daily unemployment benefit from 18 to 30 leva, and that the second year of maternity leave be increased to 1,100 leva instead of the current 780.
