„Traffic Police” caught a driver of a passenger car who got behind the wheel after consuming a substantial amount of alcohol. The case is from Burgas. The data from the breathalyzer indicated 4.33 per mille, Nova TV reports.
The 41-year-old man had difficulty sitting in the driver's seat and almost fell over when trying to open the vehicle door. He is incompetent, he refused to give blood for chemical analysis.
The law enforcement authorities specified that the device has not reported a similar result so far. In 2022 in Ruse a man was arrested with 4.17 per mille, and last year in Pazardzhik a teenager was caught with 3.15 per mille of alcohol. These cases are considered some of the highest indicators of drunk driving.
According to doctors, over 4 per mille of alcohol in the blood can lead to a coma, and values of 5 per mille can be a lethal dose for the body. The man is detained in the detention center of Peto RU-Burgas, and an expedited investigation has already been initiated into the case.
