Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov is convening a meeting today on road safety and the fight against the war on the roads. It will be attended by ministers, representatives of the relevant departments and non-governmental organizations.
The meeting with the Prime Minister will outline additional measures for road safety, as well as those for the most dangerous road sections in the country.
The Minister of the Interior announced yesterday that the Ministry of the Interior will increase control on the roads. It is planned that police officers in civilian cars will monitor for road violators. And also - placing relief markings and stakes on sections with a concentration of road accidents.
The Ministry of Justice has already announced a package of legislative changes against the delay in cases in serious accidents. These include allowing experts in cases to be questioned via video conferencing and introducing a new type of expertise to assess the impact of road infrastructure on accidents.
