The money from these smuggling channels was most likely used to buy votes in the elections, Mirchev added.

This is happening after the publications of BOEC and after we raised a fuss in the National Assembly - before that everyone had lowered their voices. Our deep suspicion is that this is a smuggling channel, over which there is both a police and a political umbrella. Our goal is to see who is at the top. There are enough indications who is at the top, but it is good to prove this, pointed out the MP from "Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria".
We want to unravel a case that will lead to a fundamental change in the work of the Ministry of Interior. The big problem here comes from political pressure, he added.
In connection with the case with the Bulgarian European Prosecutor Teodora Georgieva, Ivaylo Mirchev noted that we should "let the European Prosecutor's Office do its job".

It came out after Georgieva said that companies implementing the expansion of the gas storage facility in Chiren were intimidated by Delyan Peevski. We did not participate in the vote of no confidence not because we support Boyko Borisov, or the prime minister, but because at the moment it is ridiculous for a pro-Russian proxy party to submit a vote of no confidence on foreign policy.
