Kiril Petkov: There is no way we can be part of a majority ruled by Peevski - 1

When Peevski rules any majority, there is no way “We continue the change“ can be part of it, the party's co-chairman Kiril Petkov told journalists upon entering the parliament, BTA reports. Thus he responded to the call of the MP from “BSP – United Left” Atanas Atanasov PP-DB to join the ruling party because they have the same goals.

„Colleagues are absolutely right that this government is becoming Delyan Peevski's government at the moment“, Petkov commented on the vote of no confidence in the cabinet and the withdrawn support of the „Alliance for Rights and Freedoms“ (APS) for him.
He recalled that the PP-DB will submit its vote of no confidence after the date for Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone is announced.

„Until then, we will expose all manifestations of corruption, and the fig leaf from the APS is no longer there“, Kiril Petkov also said.

"I understood that yesterday Borisov said that Peevski has no problems with corruption and that they are brothers there and act together, but at least the entire Bulgarian people know that whoever votes for one gets both", added the PP co-chairman.

The government will not fall from our vote, most likely, because Peevski holds it, but at least the entire Bulgarian people will no longer have these comedic, theatrical scenes from Borisov, everyone will know – Borisov and Peevski are together. If you want to vote pro-corruption, vote for them, if you want to vote for the pro-Russian line, vote for “Vazrazhdane“, if you want pro-European, anti-corruption - vote for us, Petkov also said.

The MP from “Democratic Bulgaria“ Bozhidar Bozhanov also confirmed the position of the parliamentary group that they will not participate in the vote. This does not mean that we support the government, but we do not support the vote, which at the moment will not succeed, but could give a bad signal that could put the eurozone at risk, Bojanov said upon entering parliament.

To calls for the PP-DB to join the ruling majority in some form, Bojanov responded with the words: “We should return to the place of the APS, given that Peevski's influence is so obvious, we have said many times that it cannot happen“.
