Kiril Petkov: The entire European Prosecutor's Office is shaking its head because of what is happening in Bulgaria - 1

The co-chairman of “We continue the change“ Kiril Petkov said that he does not know the arrested head of customs in Plovdiv.

“As far as I understand, he was appointed at the end of our government. His entire management of this position was during the time of Prime Minister Glavchev and Prime Minister Zhelyazkov. In our country, he practically did not exist as managing this position“, he said in the program “Face to Face“.

“First of all, I want all possible signals of this type to be investigated thoroughly. A full investigation into all cases. Smuggling is a big problem,“ Petkov pointed out.

In his words, “the long arm of the “Magnitsky“ man is hiding somewhere there.

“This man has a very good strategy - to always try to make mirror PR strategies. For everything related to him - to say “You are a problem”. Then we explain ourselves for a month. It is clear to me that we have nothing to do with this case,” commented Kiril Petkov.

It became clear that the head of customs in Plovdiv was appointed by Petya Bankova, who in turn was appointed by Asen Vassilev.

“Nobody knew absolutely anything about this case. His entire work biography is based on Glavchev and Zhelyazkov. They absolutely cannot copy it to us. When they want to investigate the smuggling, we are ready to listen to all the police officers from Plovdiv", Petkov emphasized again.

"With the last 100 days, they have taken us back 4 years. The entire European Prosecutor's Office is currently scratching its head - what is happening in Bulgaria", he added.

In less than a month, there have been two inspections against Teodora Georgieva - the second is by the Bulgarian prosecutor's office after the videos allegedly showing Georgieva and former investigator Pepi Euroto were released.

"There is new testimony that Peevski wanted a bribe - in addition to Teodora Georgieva's claims. New information has reached us as information, which we have submitted as a signal to the European Prosecutor's Office", the politician noted.
