Since 2021, the enterprise has a new owner and becomes 100% private, but its main activities, as well as the working person, are preserved. What future awaits the emblematic building, said Nikolay Simeonov from the PR team of "Balkanton".
The fate of "Balkanton" has become a current topic that excites society. What is going to happen to the building and is the end of an era coming?
In the public space, unreliable information about the demolition of the building has been circulating, which has caused people's reaction. The truth is that the administrative building of "Balkanton" has never been subject to demolition or removal, but on the contrary - a project is being prepared for its renovation in order to continue its current function.
Is the project for the construction of residential buildings on the plot in force?
Apart from the administrative building, in the remaining part of the plot, three residential and commercial buildings are to be built, not 7. This project also includes a large underground parking lot, which fully meets the modern needs for mobility and convenience of residents and those around them. All construction activities are in full compliance with the current legislation and urban planning requirements.
Only buildings located on private property, but which are in extremely poor condition, pose a danger and are in no way related to the activities or history of “Balkanton“, will be demolished.
What is the purpose of this project?
Its implementation will contribute to the revitalization of the neighborhood through modern infrastructure, new residential spaces and commercial facilities, which will also stimulate the local economy.
Will there be media transparency and awareness of the project activities?
We are fully aware of the importance of “Balkanton“ for cultural heritage and society. Therefore, the new owner is committed to informing local residents and stakeholders about all steps in the project, ensuring transparency and participation. In addition, we want to minimize the submission of implausible information in the public space that could influence public opinion and settings.
