The invasion of residential construction in Plovdiv continues to absorb more and more land on the outskirts of the city. The lack of properties and the rapid construction are forcing more and more investors to prepare investment proposals for areas that currently have the status of fields, Trafficnews specifies.

With the change in the General Development Plan, practically all agricultural land now has its own allocation for construction - mainly residential. At the upcoming session of the Municipal Council in Plovdiv, a proposal will be considered that will allow the development of a PUP - Parcel Plan for the Technical Infrastructure - “Street Sewerage for Domestic Water on Municipal Roads and Properties”. In this case, the proposal concerns an area in “Proslav”, which is, however, on the northern side of Peshtersko Shosse - between the Ring Road and the “Recreation and Culture” park.

Currently, there is no road infrastructure built to the properties in question, and they can be reached via departmental or dirt roads. It is planned to first build the water supply infrastructure, by building a pumping station, as well as a water supply and sewage network. The request, which was considered by the ESUT and has now been submitted for a vote by the local parliament, was submitted by an interested person in the area.

We are talking about a company whose owner and manager is Galina Peycheva - Miteva. She is the daughter of the former MP from the NMSV and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Dimitar Peychev. He is known by the nickname Uncle Mitko after the series of scandals he has been involved in over the years.

The company owns a 44-acre property in the zone, and there is another 7-acre plot next to it.

The properties are located in the ZM zoning zone, and are the last in the western part of Plovdiv that are for residential construction in the OUP. They allow up to 60% building density with a height of 1.2 and 10 meters. Greening must be 40%, with 1/3 of it being wooded. The owners have not yet requested a change in the purpose of the land, but this will probably happen when the technical infrastructure is built.

The two properties have gone through several owners, including the parent company, where Galina Peycheva - Miteva and her mother Halena Maletska - Peycheva are the managers. The company in question is one of the legal successors of the state-owned company “Rare Metals” .

The company was privatized by Peychev and his wife for almost 1.5 million leva in 2004, and in less than 5 years it generated over 22 million leva from orders through it. It also demanded compensation from the state for 9 million leva because radioactive contamination was discovered on 5 concrete sites owned by the privatized company.

During the Triple Coalition, companies associated with Peychev's relatives won the orders for the last major cleaning of the Maritsa River bed, as well as the construction of the Chetvrtok Market. Long legal sagas followed, as the companies demanded larger amounts than stipulated in the contracts. Also during this period, the company was responsible for transporting Sofia's garbage to the Tsalapitsa landfill.

Peychev's daughter became famous as one of the wealthiest agricultural producers at the age of just 26, again during the period in which her father was deputy minister. She also absorbed a large amount of EU subsidies for farmers during this period.
