It's located in the upscale Trousdale Estates neighborhood. It was designed in 1958 by architect Rex Lottery. Presley bought the home in 1967 for $400,000, according to Architectural Digest. Presley, along with his wife Priscilla and daughter Lisa Marie, reportedly lived there for 6 years.
The asking price is nearly $1 million less than the last sale in 2019, according to the Land Registry. The owner, who bought the property at the time through a limited liability company, could not be identified by Mansion Global.
The 5,300-square-foot home sits on a 1.1-acre lot and is perched on a promontory, giving the property views that stretch from Los Angeles all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The home combines original details, such as skylights and sunken ceilings, with modern updates, including new appliances and flooring, according to the listing with Brandon Williams of Beverly Hills Estates and Anthony Bundak of Carolwood Estates. Neither agent was immediately available for comment.
There are 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, and several of the bedrooms have sliding glass doors that lead to the backyard.
In fact, much of the home seamlessly connects to the outdoors via sliding glass doors in the kitchen, dining room, and both living areas.
Outside, there is a pool and hot tub, surrounded by a patio with lounge chairs, and on both sides of this patio is wrapped in lawns.
