A teenager died on the spot after being kicked by an opponent during an amateur match in Algeria.
17-year-old Wasim Jazar stepped up to clear the ball when he was kicked in the stomach by an opponent and immediately fell to the pitch. Players from both teams surrounded him in an attempt to help him, but he wouldn't budge.
Local media reported that there was no ambulance or doctors near the stadium, which required Wasim to be rushed to hospital by car. He was later pronounced dead.
According to some, he died on the way to the medical facility, but according to others, it happened on the field.
