It's as if we are under martial law - this is how the Bulgarian badminton player Kaloyana Nalbantova described to bTV the situation in the Olympic village.

Today (July 28) the 18-year-old Bulgarian will make her debut at the most important sports forum in Paris. She will face Ahn Seyun of South Korea in the first match of the group stage. "The excitement is incredible because only me and my coach know what it cost me to qualify and be here. I'm very excited for the match itself. I hope to show a good performance. The match will be difficult as I am playing against the world number 1 and I know it will not be easy for me at all. I hope to show my game and have fun on the court," Nalbantova said.

She is also excited about the conditions in the Olympic village.

"The organization is quite large-scale, the village is very large, there is transport with small electric carts. Only the transport to the halls is a bit more difficult, as there is a lot of traffic, the measures are very strict. It looks like it's under martial law. There are soldiers on almost every corner.", revealed the badminton player.

"I was touched by quite a few of the stars in the village, saw some of my badminton idols. I managed to take a picture with them and I'm quite excited," Nalbantova added.
