"Until next time, Sofia!". This is what Novak Djokovic wrote on Instagram after the impressive exhibition match with Grigor Dimitrov, dariknews.bg reported.
The most successful tennis player in history thanked Dimitrov. "Thanks to the host and my karaoke partner", he wrote.
After the end of the spectacular show, Djokovic asked DJ Marten to play “Luda po tebe” by Kamelia in the “Arena Sofia” hall, but he did not respond to his request.
"DJ, wake up. You didn't play “Luda po tebe” today. Come on, brother, just once, for 20 seconds, for 10 seconds. Come on, come on. I prepared for this song for three days, you can't have it“, said Nole.
Of course, this did not prevent Djokovic from continuing the show and sang the chorus of the song together with the audience.
DJ Marten's reluctance to play “Luda po tebe” led to a controversy on social networks. Some users applaud the DJ for his decision and that he did not violate his principles by playing chalga, while others are of the opinion that this is an insult to one of the greatest tennis players in the world.
Grigor Dimitrov showed hospitality to Novak Djokovic, and after the match the two visited a club in the capital. The tennis players' afterparty also attracted other famous guests, such as the judge Marjana Veljovic and Grigor's coach Dani Valverde. The evening continued with lots of excitement and surprises, including a performance by the popular singer Kamelia, who personally sang her hit "Luda po tebe" to champion Djokovic.
