The Nice side recorded the most emphatic win in Ligue 1 since the start of the season. The hosts defeated the unrecognizable Saint Etienne team in a match of the 5th round of the French championship, reported Gong.bg.
The match did not start well for the visitors from Saint Etienne, who scored an own goal in the 4th minute. Dylan Batubinsika scored in his own goal, and three minutes later Tangai Ndombele doubled the home team's lead.
Mohamed Ali-Cho and Yussofah Mukoko scored two quick goals midway through the half, prompting the visiting coach to make three changes to his squad. However, this move by the specialist did not help his team, on the contrary. The guests continued to play too hesitantly and by the break they scored two more goals, the work of Gesan and Mukoko.
After the break, the match was definitely played out, but despite the lack of intrigue, the Nice players scored two more goals. Diop and Rosario from the penalty set up the embarrassing result for Saint Etienne. With the three points gained, Nice climbed to fifth position, while Saint-Etienne remains at the bottom of the standings after four losses and one win since the start of the campaign.
