World No. 102 Rebeka Shramkova (Slovakia) won the title at the UTA 250 hard court tennis tournament in Hua Hin (Thailand) with prize money $267,082.

In the final, she defeated Laura Siegemund (Germany) 6:4, 6:4 in nearly two hours of play and won the first trophy of her career.

The 27-year-old Shramkova made four breaks in the match and lost her serve twice. In the second set, she took her rival's serve for 5:4 and closed the match with her serve.

The Slovakian is having a strong season after reaching her first UTA final last week in Monastir, where she lost to Sonai Kartal.

She has won nine of her last ten matches. With the victory, Shramkova will enter the top 70 of the UTA rankings for the first time in her career. Before this week, her best ranking was 89th. She had not reached higher than No. 111 before this year, which she recorded in 2017.
