Arda's head coach Alexander Tunchev was happy after the end of the match with Krumovgrad, won by his team 2:0, Sportal.bg reported.
In this way, the players from Kardzhali continued to the 1/4-finals of the Sesame Cup of Bulgaria, and the coach revealed that this was exactly the goal for the team.
"It is gratifying that we are continuing in the next stage of the Bulgarian Cup. This was our goal. We played an impersonal first half, in which we stayed away from people, we were not aggressive and nothing was happening. We reacted at half-time and after the break we were the team that dictated the pace and deservedly won. I have mixed feelings because we got some stupid cards.
It's always hard to stay focused in the last game. I'm glad we managed to overcome that. We certainly make mistakes too. This is the direction we want to follow. It's not easy to find the right people, and they should be Bulgarians. We will try to continue in this direction.
When the team is going well, you shouldn't make changes. These players have adapted and the team has taken off, so I didn't make that many changes. We have had talks with some players. Winter is a difficult time for transfers, but we will try. If we have any outgoing transfers, we will certainly have to fill this position. We need two or three players.
We have a lot of work ahead of us, so the players can rest, because it will be very difficult later," said Tunchev.
"We had situations in the attack phase, but we were unable to finish them. In the second half, there were players who fell out physically. We had no substitutions, but I wish Arda success," said Krumovgrad head coach Atanas Ribarski.
"Today it was a question of having 11 people for the match. I want to congratulate the team for the effort they put in. It is very important for the team to improve and find a solution to all the problems. It was very difficult to play the match today.
A lot of players are expressing their desire to leave the team. This will be a very long process with a lot of matches and players. I see the support from the management," said Ribarski.
