Barcelona star Lamine Yamal will be out for about a month due to an injury, BTA reported.
The Spanish international suffered an ankle injury early in the match, but insisted on staying in the game in the 0-1 loss to Leganes last night. The 17-year-old was substituted in the 75th minute.
"Lamine Yamal suffered a blow to his right ankle during the match against Leganes on Sunday, December 15. "Tests have shown that the player has a grade 1 ankle ligament injury and is expected to be out for three to four weeks," the club said in a statement on social media X (formerly Twitter).
This season, 17-year-old Yamal has played 21 games for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing 12 assists.
Barcelona are top of the table with 38 points from 18 matches played.
