"I think his adaptation period is over", Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said of French national team captain Kylian Mbappe at his press conference ahead of tomorrow's match against Sevilla.
"Now he is showing his true face. He has been good in recent matches, but he can still improve," the Italian specialist believes. "He is more motivated, more enthusiastic, he is happy to be here", he added.
Mbappe celebrates his 26th birthday on Friday, having not shone since his start at Real Madrid, and has had injuries and psychological difficulties, in addition to a decline in form.
The Frenchman still scored 13 goals in 23 games in all competitions with the Royal Club. Mbappe was the top scorer in France's Ligue 1 six times in a row before his transfer to Real.
The striker left the Champions League match with Atalanta on December 10 with an injury and will miss the match against Rayo Vallecano for the championship, but was one of the scorers in the 3-0 victory over Mexican side Pachuca in the Intercontinental Cup final.
