Claudiu Keşeriu becomes sports director in Romania - 1

Claudiu Keşeriu, who ended his football career at the end of last year, starts working as sports director of the Romanian second division club Bihor (Oradea), digisport.ro reported.

The 38-year-old goal scorer, known to the public in Bulgaria from his periods in Ludogorets and Varna, has clearly been planning this step for a long time, as is clear from the words of his predecessor in the position, Stelian Furcau, BTA reports.

By the way, for Keşeriu, the team from Northwestern Romania - near the Hungarian border - is special, since it was in this team that he made his debut in professional football in 2002.

Returning to the field after a one-year break, Keşeriu played for the last 6 months in Cherno More (Vn) in First League of Bulgaria. He scored 6 times and made two assists in the nearly 600 minutes he was used. During that time, he helped Varna to rank 3rd in the autumn standings behind Ludogorets and Botev Plovdiv.

Bihor has big plans for the future. A new stadium worth 65 million euros will be built in Oradea. Although the team is currently struggling in the bottom half of the Second League table, the managers are aiming for promotion next season.
