German Alexander Zverev was disappointed by losing the final in Melbourne to Yannick Sinner – 3:6, 6:7 (4), 3:6, BTA reported.
„It's really bad to be standing here next to the trophy without having won it. Congratulations to Yannick, I was hoping to be better today and put up more resistance, but Yannick was too good.
I thank my team because we don't stop working for our dream. We're just not good enough, it's simple. I really appreciate everything they've done for me in my career. Thanks to the tournament director Craig Tiley, because we players are very difficult to communicate with, and he always tries and organizes the best tournament in the world.
I don't know if I will ever lift this trophy, but I promise I will try in the future“, said Zverev.
