The match at "Anfield" was attended by 60,420 spectators. This is a new record for Liverpool's attendance in the Premier League, the club's press service announced.
The record number of spectators for home matches of Merseysiders in all competitions is 61,905 people. This figure was recorded in a cup match with Wolverhampton in the 1951/52 season.
Liverpool have 53 points from 22 matches this season in the Premier League and are top of the table.
