Duplantis is unstoppable - he opened the year with a record

The absolute star in the pole vault Armand Duplantis started 2025 with a record, which is hardly a surprise. The Olympic, world and European champion and world record holder in the discipline won the ISTAF tournament in Berlin with a new tournament record of 6.10 meters. The Swede is trying to improve his own world record after twice attacking 6.27 m, but without success, reports gong.bg.

“It was a good start to the season. I think everyone's energy here really helped me”, said Duplantis. Second in the pole vault sector was Olympic medalist Emmanuel Karalis with 5.94 m, and third was the representative of the hosts Oleg Tsernikel with 5.70 m.
