Johannes Tignes Bø won gold at the Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide without a mistake and with a time of 21:56.8 minutes, which was title number 21 for the Norwegian. Last year in Nove Mesto he was second in the discipline, but this time Bø finished 27.7 seconds ahead of silver medalist Campbell Wright from the United States. Third came Kanten Fillon-Mayet from France with a deficit of 37 seconds and one shooting mistake, BTA reports.
Tignes Bø is on a streak of medals in all disciplines in two consecutive world championships. In Nove Mesto he was a three-time champion, and in Oberhof in 2023 the Norwegian collected five gold medals, including in the sprint.
Thus, Tinges Bø, who will end his career after the Winter Olympics next year, already has 21 titles and one more than his compatriot Ole Einar Björndalen. He is only behind in the number of medals, which are six less than Björndalen's.
Vladimir Iliev and Blagoy Todev made no mistake in the shooting and took 25th and 32nd place respectively in the men's 10 km sprint. Iliev finished 1:47.8 minutes behind the winner, and was also nearly 13 seconds behind Sebastian Samuelsson from Sweden, who finished ahead of him. Todev also finished without errors in both of his shots and won 32nd place, 1:56.8 minutes behind first place. Anton Sinapov started according to the program and did not allow inaccurate shots at the start, but did so three times in the second attempt and took 82nd place, almost four minutes behind the winner's pace.
