Real Madrid failed to beat Osasuna (1:1) as a guest in a match from the 24th round of the Primera Division. The hosts played more than 50 minutes with a man more after Jude Bellingham received a red card, BTA reports.
Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for Real in the 15th minute after a pass from Federico Valverde. Ante Budimir restored parity from the penalty spot in the 58th minute. Budimir earned his own penalty after being brought down in the penalty area by Eduardo Camavinga.
Five minutes before the end of the first half, Jude Bellingham was sent off for protesting against a referee's decision, and the visiting coach Carlo Ancelotti also received a penalty card - yellow, again for protesting. The Italian coach reacted sharply to what he considered a handball by an Osasuna player in the home team's penalty area at the start of the match.
Despite being down to 10 men, Madrid were attacking and looking for victory, and Kylian Mbappe, alone against the goalkeeper in the 90th minute, missed the chance to bring success to his team. He entered from the right diagonally, advanced and shot from 10 meters, but goalkeeper Sergio Herrera made a one-handed save. Three minutes earlier, the home team could have scored, but Bryan Zaragoza shot the top bar from close range.
