Former AC Milan and Italy national team coach Arrigo Sacchi has revealed a surprising intention to return to coaching at the age of 78, nearly 25 years after his last coaching job, BTA reported.
Sacchi led Milan to two European Cups in 1988-89 and 1989-90 and the Italian national team to the 1994 World Cup final, but has not managed a professional team since taking charge of Parma in 2001.
He also had a stint as Real Madrid's director of football in 2004-05 and later went on to serve as technical coordinator of Italy's national youth teams between 2010 and and 2014.
The 78-year-old Sacchi claims to have had talks with teams in many different countries in Europe and South America.
"I am thinking of returning to coaching in Italy or abroad", Sacchi told Adnkronos.
"I have several options, but I don't know if it will be in Italy because I have a flaw: I say what I think and sometimes I have to say what I think about us. And I regret saying it sometimes. I have options in Brazil, Argentina, Spain and many others," Sacchi added.
