Slavia coach Zlatomir Zagorcic believes that the match with CSKA 1948 should have been postponed due to the snow and sub-zero temperatures, BTA reported.
The hosts made efforts to clear the pitch and the match took place, ending with a score of 1:1.
"I am not satisfied with my team's performance. The opponent did much better on this difficult pitch. We should have been much more aggressive. The result is completely real and both teams deservedly took one point.
We don't have many quality players and it is difficult to play two consecutive matches at a high level.
Matchmaking should not be played on such pitches. There is always a risk that someone will get injured.
Whether Karl Fabien goes to Levski is a matter for the bosses. I hope we will know this week. A defender from Russia is already training with us, we also have a Frenchman on trial. I hope he will sign a contract too. If Karl Fabien leaves, we will look for a winger and with that we will finish the selection“, commented Zlatomir Zagorčić.
CSKA 1948 coach Ivan Ivanov said that his players are stressed and this has prevented them from showing their full potential on the pitch.
"I congratulate both teams, I congratulate the hosts, I congratulate the management and coaching staffs and the children from the Slavia school for the efforts made to hold this match in the best possible conditions considering the weather conditions. This is commendable," said Ivanov after the 1:1 draw with Slavia in a match from the 21st round of the First League.
"It was a very good match and both teams were looking for the win. In the second half we were much the better team and were looking for the win. I am satisfied with the effort of the players. I have no comments in this regard. But I want to say that the players are extremely burdened and this affects their performance. There is a slowdown in them and they are playing at least 30 percent below their potential.
I want a new striker, but I don't think we will attract new players. This question is for the team owner," commented Ivan Ivanov after the match.
