Slavia President Ventseslav Stefanov gave his opinion to Sportal.bg after the 1:1 draw against CSKA 1948 in the efbet League.
The boss of the "whites" said that in all likelihood winger Karl Fabien has played his last match for the team. Once again, the businessman said that there is no development regarding goalkeeper Svetoslav Vutsov.
Mr. Stefanov, what do you think about the match with CSKA 1948?
- It was a tough battle, the pitch was very bad, I am certainly not happy with the point, but we must also take into account the weather conditions in which this match was played. Against CSKA in the previous round, I was very happy because I saw how the boys were having fun. CSKA 1948 is a better team than CSKA, however. In the second half, they put a lot of pressure on us. However, our goalkeeper Nikolay Krastev performed excellently on several occasions. I regret that we had trusted someone else for the goalkeeping position for a long time. As for the match - the boys fought, it was a battle, there are such matches.
Was this Fabien's last match for Slavia?
- Yes, in all likelihood it was. I assume that there will be more developments on the matter in the coming days. But I think that this was really his last match for Slavia.
So he's going to Levski?
- Contact Levski. They'll tell you. Call "Gerena" and ask them. However, I don't know from Levski how they will deal with his managers. I will tell you that they rejected offers from Dynamo Kiev, Terek, Anzhi Makhachkala, Riga and one from Turkey. We are talking about a serious offer - 400,000 euros per year and 15,000 for a win. I no longer plan to work with such managers, who were as quiet as kittens when he was supposed to come to Slavia from the fourth French division. However, now they are even threatening me - if I stop him, a complaint for racism would follow. Something like with Nazon, who was at CSKA. However, I have the conversation on tape and if necessary, I am ready to provide it to FIFA.
Are there any developments regarding Vutsov, who also seems close to Levski?
- For now, I can't tell you anything on this issue. An ungrateful person has been with us for so long. Yes, he is an ungrateful boy. That's what I can say. I don't know if he's a CSKA player or a Levski player anymore. In case his transfer doesn't happen, Vutsov will continue to be a Slavia player until his contract with the club expires. That's it.
