Some of the iconic clubs in Bulgarian football are working on the idea of Stiliyan Petrov appearing alone at the BFU election congress, claims "Tema Sport", quoted by Topsport.
Oppositionist Georgi Gradev claims that this will happen in October 2025. Thus, it appears that Dimitar Berbatov will remain out of the race for the post of president of the headquarters.
Gradev himself is expected to be the main driving force behind Stiliyan Petrov's candidacy.
Yesterday he wrote the following:
"A regular electoral congress of the BFU is coming up in October 2025, when the mandate of the current interim leadership headed by Georgi Ivanov will expire".
