Surprise! Eugene Trika is the new coach of FC Lovech - 1

Eugene Trika is the new head coach of FC Lovech, sportal.bg reported.

The former football player of the Lovech team succeeds Hristo Arangelov, who took over the Blagoevgrad Pirin. Trika returns to Lovech after two decades, before which he wore the “orange“ jersey as a player.

“Our previous coach Hristo Arangelov did a good job, we parted ways amicably and I wish him success. I believe that now we are entrusting the team to a person who knows the essence of our club, city, and fans. Trika has coaching experience in the elite league of Romania. His staff will include Vesselin Simeonov and Vitomir Vutov. I wish our new coach success. The goal for our team remains the same - to establish ourselves in the Second League, playing football that will make people in the stands happy," Dobrin Dzhabarski, head of FC Lovech, told Sportal.bg.

As a player for the Lovech team, Trika won the Bulgarian Cup in the 2003-2004 season. In Bulgaria, he also played for CSKA, and with the red team he lifted the national cup in the 2005-2006 season and the 2006 Super Cup.
