Aston Villa and Liverpool finished 2:2 in a drawn match from the 29th round of the Premier League, FOCUS reported.

Liverpool created several chances at the beginning. In the 17th minute, Marcus Rashford scored for the hosts, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez saved a shot by Dominik Szoboszla.

Liverpool took the lead in the 29th minute. Mohamed Salah was accurate after a pass from Diogo Jota.

Aston Villa, however, turned the tables by the end of the first half. In the 38th minute, Youri Tielemans took advantage of a mix-up and scored. In added time, Ollie Watkins headed in a cross from Luca Digne.

After the break, Jota hit the post. In the 61st minute, Trent Alexander-Arnold equalised for Liverpool after a rebound. Shortly afterwards, Darwin Nunes wasted a great opportunity for the visitors, missing the empty goal. At the other goal, Donyell Malen shot, but Alisson saved.

In the 82nd minute, Jacob Ramsey scored for Aston Villa, but the goal was disallowed for offside. In added time, Alisson saved his team from defeat.

Liverpool are at the top of the standings with 61 points. Aston Villa are in 9th place with 39.
