Stanimir Stoilov has signed a new contract with Goztepe, the club announced. Murray will remain at the helm of the Turkish club until the summer of 2027. The contract of the renowned Bulgarian specialist has an option for another year.
"We are very pleased that our partnership with Stanimir will continue at least until the end of the 2026/27 season. We believe that he is an excellent coach for our project and we are happy that he chose to dedicate his future to Goztepe. With hard work and humility, we believe that the best days are ahead," said Göztepe's sports director Ivan Manse, quoted by gong.bg.
Stanimir Stoilov took over Göztepe at the end of 2023. He led the Turkish club to promotion to the Super League. This season, the "yellow-reds" are making a splash in the elite of our southern neighbor. Currently, Göztepe is sixth in the provisional standings with 35 points and is in the fight for a place in Europe next season.
During the current campaign, Murray entered the history of the "yellow-reds" with several records. His team recorded a series of 9 consecutive home victories.
