Levski's Executive Director Daniel Borimirov commented on the transfer speculation surrounding Slavia's football player Karl Fabien.
"To the attention of PFC Levski fans and the football community,
I want to categorically state that the words of Karl Fabien's agents that I personally failed his transfer to Levski do not correspond to the truth. The words about "intimidation" in the club's offices sound even less serious. All conversations took place in the presence of Galina Kostova from our international department.
I have always strived to protect the interests of the club and there is no way I can allow agents of any player to blackmail Levski and set extremely unfavorable conditions for us. You can ask all the other managers and players we have negotiated with in recent years whether there was any pressure. We also had no problems with Slavia in the negotiations for this transfer.
I had no intention of responding to people who do not even think about the good of the player they represent, but I cannot let them discredit me as a person and the institution I represent.
We are doing everything possible to strengthen Levski with new signings, but not under conditions that will make the club a loser," Borimirov's statement reads.
