Vladimir Zografski finished 19th in the large hill jump (HS 138) at the World Nordic Skiing Championships, which are being held in Trondheim (Norway). The Bulgarian easily passed the qualifications, where he was in 22nd place. Then, in the first jump, he also ranked 22nd, and in the final ranking he moved slightly forward, BTA reports.
Zografski gave results of 126.0 and 124.0 meters, and together with the style score, he collected 244.2 points. Just a week ago, Zografski set a record ranking for a Bulgarian competitor at the World Ski Jumping Championships with ninth place on the small hill.
The Slovenian Domen Prevc became the world champion, who dominated both the first and second jumps. Prevc finished with 301.8 points with jumps of 138.0 and 140.5 points. In reality, for Slovenia, the title is a continuation of the traditions from 2023 in Planica, when Timi Zajc triumphed in this discipline. However, Zajc did not reach the final attempts after 45th place in the first jump.
Second place goes to Marius Lindvik (Norway) with 297.1 points (138.0; 139.5 meters in the jumps). Lindvik won his first world title on March 2nd from the small hill and today he was aiming for a new success, giving the best results in the qualifications.
The bronze medal went to Jan Hörl (Austria), who finished with 286.6 points (134.0; 137.0 meters). There were two more Slovenians in the top 12 – Anže Lanisek is 6th, and Lovro Kos is 12th.
