Just days ago we introduced you to the latest model of the Romanian brand called Bigster. The new flagship also boasts a promising engine. It's about the Bigster getting the brand's biggest internal combustion engine in the range.
It will be part of the Hybrid 155 powertrain, which debuted as a Renault Group product and includes a 1.8-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine. The new unit is the work of Horse Powertrain, in which the French automaker and Geely are major shareholders.
Also interestingly, the Bigster will be the first car with a fully in-house developed Horse engine, fresh off the assembly lines in Valladolid, Spain. With 107 hp, this four-cylinder engine comes in combination with a 50 hp electric motor, making the hybrid tract the most powerful in the Dacia range.
The gearbox is designed to have four gears for the internal combustion engine and two for the electric motors. In addition to being more powerful, the Bigster Hybrid 155 is also six percent more fuel efficient than the Hybrid 140, based on a three-cylinder engine.
