The Chinese company uCloudlink, which specializes in wireless communication solutions, showed several new products at MWC. The most unusual of them is a gadget called PetPhone, which is positioned as a means of communication between people and pets.
The compact device is designed to be attached to the pet's neck. The manufacturer does not disclose detailed technical specifications of the PetPhone, but it is known that it monitors the health and activity of an animal based on AI algorithms. In addition, the gadget supports six satellite communication technologies at once to improve geolocation accuracy.
The company said that the device can initiate a communication session after a certain gesture or movement from the animal, but details of how this mode works were not disclosed. It is not yet known when and at what price the unusual new product will go on sale.
Another new product from uCloudlink is the MeowGo G50 Max mobile access point with support for HyperConn technology. According to the manufacturer, it provides uninterrupted connection to broadband networks, Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G and satellite Internet. The price and release date of the device have also not been announced yet.
