On March 24, 2024, the Ukrainian Air Force (Air Force) conducted a series of strikes against the Black Sea Fleet stationed in Sevastopol, Crimea. One of the main objects of the attack was the communications center of the fleet. This is stated in the latest intelligence report of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.
Analysis of images after the attack showed that one of the buildings was severely damaged, including a partial roof collapse. Two other buildings were also damaged by explosions.
As a result of the strikes, two ships of the "Ropucha" class, tankers and one reconnaissance ship of the "Yurii Ivanov" class were affected. The VSU published a message about this without details on social networks. "As a result of the massive missile attack on the annexed Sevastopol on Saturday against Sunday, infrastructure objects were damaged and the landing ships "Yamal" were sunk. and "Azov". Russian ships normally using ports in Sevastopol were forced to deploy to alternative port facilities further east due to the strikes.
