Ukrainian general to his compatriots: Do not run away from mobilization - 1

The commander of the ground forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, on Monday, in a lengthy and emotional address on social networks, called on his compatriots to put aside hostility towards the military commissars and not to run away from mobilization, the BBC quoted him as saying.

"No matter how much help we get, no matter how many weapons we have, we don't have enough people! The equipment does not move on its own, the weapon does not fire on its own, and the drone does not fly on its own. Subdivisions must be renewed" - wrote Lieutenant General Pavlyuk.

He blames Russian propaganda for leading many Ukrainians to believe that the mobilization is an injustice and a violation of rights, rather than an urgent need to defend the country.

"I understand people's desire to live a quiet life, to travel, to build a career. But there is an objective reality - Russia denies our right to exist. The enemy understands only the language of force. We must drive him from our land. If we don't, there will be no peaceful life, no rights and freedoms. Look at Russia itself, the temporarily occupied territories," declared Pavlyuk

"How did society allow people to fear the military and allow themselves to insult them? General Pavlyuk asks his compatriots. - Today, the majority of TCC employees (territorial recruitment centers, former military registration and registration services - BBC) are yesterday's warriors, whom everyone admired and were proud of. What happened? Why do they hide from them today, why do they allow themselves to despise them, start persecutions and even fights? It's unacceptable!".

The commander of the ground forces of the Ukrainian armed forces, among other things, convinces fellow citizens that the Ukrainian army has implemented a solid system for training new recruits and that no one gets to the front without a month's training.

"That's why I call on Ukrainians to put their emotions behind them and not give in to provocations. We must understand that no one will be able to stay away. Because the fate of the country, the fate of our nation is at stake. Russia will not leave anyone alone: neither those who hid nor those who betrayed Ukraine," concludes Pavlyuk.
