French Foreign Minister Stéphane Sejourne said on Monday that Paris is currently unwilling to engage in discussions with Russian authorities due to the spread of inaccurate press releases and reports.
"Today it is not in our interest to talk to Russian officials, because the press releases that are being circulated, the reports that are being made are lies,", Stephane Sejournet told France24 and RFI.
Earlier, the defense ministers of France and Russia, Sébastien Lecorneux and Sergei Shoigu, respectively, held a conversation in which Paris intended to pass on relevant information about the attack on the "Crocus City Hall" in the Moscow Region.
The Russians expressed their hope that French secret services were not involved in the shooting, prompting French President Emmanuel Macron to call the " trite and menacing " the comments of the Russians.
